Prepare your book for publishing! Custom Design Includes:
• Setup of InDesign files • Page design with style sets (fonts, margins, page numbers, captions, footnotes, etc.) • Digital text files uploaded and placed • Image placement, sizing, (and optimization) • Cover design including spine and back cover and flaps if needed • Packaging for the printer • Flash Drive for your records and safekeeping You provide: All text and any images in high-resolution digital format ___________________________________________________________________ Interior Pages Time Estimate Concept, Develop & Design: 6 hours Formatting Pages: 8 hours for 100 pages, up to 16 hours for 500 pages Placement of images: 6 images/hour Edits: 4 - 6 hours Additional Expenses if needed: Enhancing images (sharpening, adjusting light levels and white balance, etc.) 8 images/hour Client requested changes. ___________________________________________________________________ Book Cover Time Estimate You provide: All text and any images in digital format Concept: Develop & Design: 2 or 3 sample designs to start process 6 - 8 hours Layout: Back Cover & Spine: 4 hours Corrections: 2 hours Additional Time/Expenses if needed: Enhancing images (feathering, adjusting light levels and white balance, etc.) ___________________________________________________________________ |

Total Cost Estimate
The hours listed above will give you an approximate idea of the time involved. A clear idea of what you want will speed the process, as will quality images. I charge $30. an hour and offer a sliding scale from $20. for those in financial need. I am happy to help you cut costs where possible and assist you with your own design concepts. |

When the World Spins Out of Control, is a non-fiction book addressing inner ear disorders that lead to the sickening sensation of vertigo. To illustrate this, she used a photo of a stand of trees and distorted them by giving them wavy rubbery trunks. Behind these surreal trees were shadow images of upright trees. The colors were great, too: Despite the slightly sinister character of the strange picture, the grass is green and the sky blue.
